A challenging garden project with a slope and very little planting in place

The garden before was laid to grass with a slope leading down to the house. There were no plants, just one lovely, but lonely damson tree. There was no patio or practical area to sit and because of the slope the chairs and table slid down the hill. The owners have a large family and wanted to use the garden to entertain and also to have a practical way of getting around the space.

Design and landscaping in harmony

Emma created a design that broke the garden down into different areas for planting and seating with separate firepit, BBQ and pizza oven area for cooking. Our team, led by Jakub, constructing the walls, pergolas, archways, water feature and steps creating a really practical useful outdoor space.

Usage across the year

The owners are now able to use the garden most times of the year and are very enthusiastic gardeners!  Thanks to some subtle lighting, it looks good even on the darkest days.
