Working on a blank canvas using traditional plants in a modern design.
This garden is very typical of many newly built homes. It was a completely blank canvas and without even any grass laid the weeds had soon set in to take over. There were issues of screening from neighbours and as is typical with many new builds the soil was not good quality.
A space to relax and entertain
The clients wanted to be able to use the garden for relaxing and entertaining. They wanted a contemporary garden, using traditional plants in a modern design. Emma created a design to break the garden up at angles, which makes the space appear more interesting and bigger.
Weed filled patch to attractive garden
The garden was completely transformed from a weed filled patch to an attractive, inviting space that completely compliments the house. Using raised sleeper beds makes the garden relatively easy to maintain so the owners can relax and really enjoy their new garden.
