The owners of this town garden had just moved from a house with a much larger garden. They almost didn't buy the house because the garden was an issue, basically a dull patch of grass with pots of plants from their old garden. However, they realised that there was potential and with the help of our designer, Daniel, set about designing the outdoor space to suit their lifestyle. Above all the owners did now want to feel a slave to the garden, so the design was for a low maintenance space. This is quite a common requirement for many of our clients.

There were precious ornaments and in particular, a rather wonderful bench, imported from Indonesia to consider. The obvious place for the bench was in front of a rather fine wall. Above all, the garden had to be unified, to blend in naturally with the house. As is the case with many town houses, the view from the large picture window had to be considered with care. We wanted to create a 'wow' factor for the clients to have something of interest to see all year round from the house.
