Cottage Garden

Six Months Later

The clients initially reached out to one of our designers, already having some hard landscaping in place, and wanted to build upon that foundation. They wanted a garden where they could entertain friends and host gatherings – a lively, enjoyable space.

Before

After

The garden is thoughtfully divided into different areas and levels. As you step into the back garden, you’re welcomed by a seating area surrounded by decorative planted containers. A short climb up the stairs reveals a charming herb garden and a small wildlife pond. The existing pavers were replaced with bound gravel to create a more cohesive look with the house and garden. All existing beds were replanted to provide interest throughout the year.

Moving along, you arrive at an outdoor kitchen, surrounded by beautiful border plantings. Continuing up a new timber staircase with bound gravel treads, you reach a green space with a bound gravel bistro terrace – ideal for enjoying the views across the garden. Following a path of curved clay pavers, you come to a stunning water feature, thoughtfully planted around to be visible from the top of the garden. The path leads onto a timber building, and beyond that, through a ‘woodland area,’ past a stone wall, you find an outdoor bar with a seating area and fire pit nearby.

The clients are delighted with what our designer and landscapers have created for them, as the space offers a variety of areas for hosting and entertaining, each designed for enjoyment and gatherings.
